Drilling Burst Sub Tool

The Drilling Burst Sub Tool (DBST) is used in drilling operations as an immediate method to regain circulation in the event of a pack off inside or outside of the bottom hole assembly.
The stainless-steel disc design and shape is fatigue resistant and corrosion resistant to maintain the rated disc strength with repeated pressure cycling stresses during drilling operations. The pressure release value reduces slightly with higher temperature.

The burst disc can also handle high differential back pressures from the annulus toward the inside of the sub.
Features
  • Used in drilling operations as an immediate method to regain circulation in the event of a pack off of the bottom hole assembly
  • Circulate cuttings out of the hole to prevent additional packing-off of the drill string
  • Reliable fatigue resistant design to maintain rupture pressure rating
  • Large ID to allow high circulation flow rates and reduced plugging risk
  • Disc supplier with over 60 years experience
  • Drilling Sub can be manufactured to match drill string connections (DS40, CET43, XT39, XT40, NC38)
  • Wide range of pressure ratings available (7,500 psi, 7,000 psi, 6,500 psi, 6,000 psi, 5,000 psi, 4,500 psi etc)
