Brand: NelsonNelson Wrap Strip (WRS3) is a highly intumescent firestop wrap system.
When exposed to fire, the wrap strip expands and forms a hard char to seal off the penetrating item and preventing the passage of fire and hot gasses.
Features- Easily installed.
- Non-toxic, it has no hazardous ingredients, and is asbestos and solvent free.
- Should be cut, to length, to fit the circumference of the pipe. Depending on the system requirements, additional layers may be required, and will be cut to fit over The previous layer.
- A metal restraining collar, a mechanical device designed to hold the wrap strip in place, is available, where required. The restraining collar is easily cut to fit, and no special skills, or tools, are required to install.
- Actual installation should be in accordance with the appropriate Nelson™ application system drawing.
- It is highly intumescent.
- Excellent freeze/thaw.
- Cost effective.
- It is water resistant.
- Up to 3 hour rating.
- Supplied 6 charcoal gray rolls per carton in 25.4 mm x 6.35 mm x 3.66 m (1"" x 1/4"" x 12') or 38.1 mm x 6.35 mm x 3.66 m (1-1/2"" x 1/4"" x 12') sizes.
- 25.4 mm to 38 mm x 7.62 m (1"" to 1-1/2"" x 25') metal restraining collar available.
