Bill Wright originally started Wright as a landscaping company in the ‘80s.
During the early Lawn-Wright years, Bill’s landscape crew members were walking behind mowers for up to 20 miles a day causing major fatigue and slowing them down as each hour passed.
This inspired Bill and his mower mechanic, Jim Velke, to develop the stand-on Sulky for commercial walk-behind mowers which, to this day, are known throughout the industry as the Velke: Sulky.
The 2023 model introduces several improvements building on the original heavy duty design.
